Heir Apparent by Vivian Vande Velde

The book , Heir Apparent by Vivian Vande Velde, is about a girl named Giannine Bellisario who gets a gift certificate to go to a game arcade. She desides to play a virtual game, a game where you are inside and acting out your adventure. She chooses the game called Heir Apparent. If her character dies, she gets another chance. She has to show that she can be the next heir to the castle, and battle through dragons, barrbarians, and evil half brothers. But to make matters worse, CPOC (Citizens to Protect Our Children), an organization that does not like games such as these, destroys the game that she is in, and she is trapped. The only way that she can get out is to finish the game, or have brain damage. So she might die in the game, or die in real life. I give this book an A+ for adventure. This is a gripping story. You do not expect what will happen in the end.
