the story Circle of Fire by Evelyn Coleman is an great exciting book. There is 160 pages and there is a peek into the past at the end of the book.this book is a fiction book but it is real because it is back when the KKK was in Tennessee. Mandy is the main character in this story and the second main character is Jeffery. Jeffery is white and Mandy is black Mandy mom gets mad when ever they hang out but they still do it any way. There is a place where Mandy goes to cool down when she is mad called the Tal Mahal. Mandy sets up many traps for the Klan but they keep on getting around them. The Klan is planing on bombing Mrs. Roosevelt speech they Mandy and Jeffery try to stop it but the sheriff is in on it to.I liked this book because it is in the important times in history. The circle of fire is 160 pages of exciting book and I like learning about the times it was hard for black people. I think who every reads this book will not be disappointed with it stuff happens that you will not ever think it would. This book is a well written book about the life of the segregated south.
