The Best Friend, by R.L. Stine, is an amazing thriller. Not only is it a good story-line, but a suspenseful drama as well. Now, this book is not for the happy go lucky types. It can get creepy.
Anyway, the story is about a girl named Becka, a normal girl who lives in Shadyside, and basically what is going on in her life. All is well, until Honey Perkins moves in next door. Honey says that her and Becka were best friends when they were young. Only, Becka doesn't think she's ever laid eyes on Honey in her life. Okay, you're thinking," that doesn't sound creepy."But then Honey starts being Becka. No that is not a typo! She starts acting the EXACT same as Becka. Then everything gets worse and Becka's life is in ruins. But can she fix it?
Overall, I think this book is awesome!!! I give it five (out of five) stars. Do I recommend it to everyone, no. Like I said, 'not for the happy go lucky types.' It can get gruesome and a bit scary. And another thing, don't read in the dark if you have a very active imagination!!!!!
